We have the following scenario implemented:
On S/4 1909:
Use of embedded EWM and QM in the ERP, so no use of inspection rules.
Integration of GTS with the EWM.
Scenario: Import processing after goods receipt with the material in QM inspection.
We import goods. With the arrival at the WH the T1 document is entered and the shipment is transferred to the GTS. After receiving the unloading permission, the goods are no longer blocked in EWM and the GR is performed. Now the inspection lot is created, and the material is transferred into Q-stock. When the inspection is done, the material is then released, depending on the decision of the lot.
From the process flow now first the necessary GTS (import processing) should be performed. Until then the goods shall be blocked in a custom stock. No inspection should be performed at this point. When GTS activities are done goods shall be released from the custom stock. Next, that should happen is the inspection. Therefore, the expectation is the automated booking into the quality stock and then the inspection should be done. When an inspection is done the stock shall be either blocked or released in EWM.
What happens:
GR is performed, inspection lot is created, and material is transferred into Q-Stock. GTS is "ignored". The GTS custom stock is also not used by the system after the inspection is done.
It is mandatory to have GTS and its custom stock to be "first in line" and Quality inspection second when all customs formalities are done.
In the customizing, all settings lead to the issue described.
