EWM & QM Integration - UD1710 is not available in /SCWM/QINSP_S4 - Quality Workload Overview

Dear Gurus,

I've maintained the component's inspection rule thru /SCWM/QRSETUP and inspection type with standard 1701 EWM Inspection External System.

And inspection lot can be created when post GR in EWM, but when I want to update the UD of inspection lot thru /SCWM/QINSP_S4 - Quality Workload Overview or thru the button EWM Inspection, there is only UD1710P available to select,

why UD1710 is not available in /SCWM/QINSP_S4?

And there is only UD1710 available in QA11.

Is that standard behavior designed?

And Whether UD input thru /SCWM/QINSP_S4 can be updated from EWM into QA11 QM automatically if no characteristics are required to input.

Thanks.

Steve

Dear Steve,

Taking a Partial decision (EWM inspection) is optional, while the Header decision is always necessary for lot origin 17 inspections in order to close the quality inspection process. If you post a Partial decision for all the quantities linked to the QI Lot, you will still need to post a Header decision. In such case the stocks would be handled based on the Partial decision, as the Header decision is only a technical step to set the QI document/lot status to completed.

You have to set UD group carefully and use the UD group "UD1701" in header decision and the UD group "UD1701P" in the partial decision (EWM inspection). The partial UDs have to be linked to the partial follow-up action and the header UDs have to be linked to the header follow-up action.

The KBA 3298981 - 'How to post Partial Usage Decision in Lot Origin 17 Inspection?' describes the detailed process of partial decision posting.

In KBA 3202466 - 'Follow up action for partial quantity is not triggered in embedded S/4HANA' you can read more about the how to configure and use decision and follow-up action codes in a correct way.

Please read carefully the KBAs which can be found in this collection:

3340864 - Central how-to KBA for EWM-QM

Best regards,

Katalin

Dear Steve,

With lot origin 17 if you would like to post partial decision you have to use different decision group as Pavan said.

You can find more information about the partial decision in these KBAs:

3298981 How to post Partial Usage Decision in Lot Origin 17 Inspection?

3202466 Follow up action for partial quantity is not triggered in embedded S/4HANA

If you would like to know more about the EWM quality inspection I recommend this KBA:

Katalin

Dear Katalin,

Thanks for you reply.

I've a question whether /SCWM/QINSP_S4 only supports UD of partial inspection lot?

As I input "UD1701" into the field Selected Sets (Partial Lots), the UD code of UD1701 is available to select in the screen of /SCWM/QINSP_S4, but the function cannot execute as the UD code of UD1701P selected.

Thanks.

Hello Steve,

There seems to be a missing/inconsistent configuration for this behavior. Please visit below configuration and select plant/warehouse and check for configuration "Selected Sets (Partial Lots)".

SPRO > Quality Management > Basic Settings > Maintain Settings at Plant Level

Hi Pavan,

Thanks for your reply.

And in the configuration, UD1701P is maintained in the field "Selected Sets (Partial Lots) is below, my confusion and understanding is that it seems partial inspection lot created when post GR in EWM, but actually, the quantity of inbound delivery is 1 PC, I don't know why partial lot is created?

Any configuration or data will impact the inspection lot created with partial in EWM?

Thanks.
