With WM, in the PP module, when editing a production order, Tx. CO02, we can do something like this:

Is there an equivalent process in EWM to "TO creation"?

Of course there is an equivalent process in EWM to a "TO creation", you have WTs and WOs. But there is no such function from the manufacturing order in connection with EWM.

That's what I wanted to know: there's no equivalent in EWM.

As I understand it, doing it this way with WM, the order still consumes one piece and not two pieces.

Maybe for new versions? 😉

Which method are you using to stage the stock to shop floor?

EWM(1) -> EWM(1) ?

EWM -> IM ?

EWM(1) -> EWM(2) ?

If you are using method of stock transfer from EWM maneged storage location to IM managed storage location for your staging process --> you can directly create staging outbound delivery on CO02 via WM Material Staging - Execute. (of course you will need necessary master data).

Based on your process I can explain which master data you will need.

TO is "transfer order" in WM:

"Automatic TO creation immediately after TR creation

Indicator with which automatic transfer order generation is activated directly from material staging. This procedure is also referred to as immediate transfer order generation.

Immediate transfer order generation makes it possible to automatically convert the transfer requirement created for material staging into a transfer order. As soon at the transfer requirement has been created for material staging, a transfer order is generated in the background for this transfer requirement. If there is an error, a corresponding error message can be sent to another user via the general WM mail control. The mail control must be maintained in the replenishment storage type or the production storage type via the storage type definition.

You can set this indicator for all functions of material staging. To do this, you need the WM authorization "Special functions in Warehouse Management" with the setting "1".

If material staging for pick parts is not requested manually but automatically during order release, you define in the "Production control profile" whether direct transfer order generation is to be activated."
