As I have not found any simple solution for this.

This is how I determine BATCH Number for a BATCHID , during a Physical Inventory process.

CALL METHOD /scwm/cl_batch_appl=>get_batchno_by_id

You need to do a try catch TRY. /scwm/cl_batch_appl=>get_batchno_by_id( EXPORTING iv_batchid = <fs_hu>-batchid iv_lgnum = <fs_hu>-lgnum IMPORTING ev_charg = lv_batch ). CATCH /scwm/cx_batch_precheck. CLEAR lv_batch. ENDTRY.
