Hi,
SAP Help states that "some packaging specifications [...] refer to other packaging specifications" (see https://help.sap.com/viewer/3d97bec9bf1649099384bb8167df3cf2/9.5.0.2/en-US/123f6eb1-3018-43e6-8671-4....
How can this be achieved?
Any hints out there?

Hi,
what is meant with that is that a packaging specification can refer to another packaging specification as a subordinate pack specification. For that on content level you need to select "Add Subodinate Packspec" at the "Add Level or Content" icon.
Subordinate packaging instructions are common in ERP, A packing instruction can only have one level and uses subordinate packing instructions to model multi-level packing.
With packing specifications in EWM this is not necessary, as you can have several levels inside one pack spec. Personally I have not even tried to use a subordinate pack spec in EWM (and could never give me a reason why I should).

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!
