EWM Initial configuration regarding WM and EWM link

If we are planning for Embedded EWM :

1) Do we need to configuration traditional warehouse WM1 and next configuration steps as well(S.type,S.section,stratergies,ect.) (or) we just need 3 digit warehouse only.

2) Do we connect WM and EWM warehouses for Embedded EWM ?

(or) we create new EWM Warehouses and respective S. Types, S. Sections, strategies etc. only (no need of regular warehouses and its configurations)..

Can you confirm on this process.

1) Not required to configure storage type. Just the 3 digit warehouse number and its assignment to plant sloc etc.

2) Yes. That is how the deliveries from ERP get distributed to EWM.

3) we create new EWM Warehouses and respective S. Types, S. Sections, strategies etc. only (no need of regular warehouses and its configurations).. - This is essential to process the deliveries received from point 2 in EWM.
