EWM: Inbound flow with staging into different bins.

Hi All,

We have a requirement as below

Good receipt Area > Staging Area

Here at the staging area, we have different sections, for instance if the material is A, it should go to staging Area bin A, and if the material is B, it should go to staging Area bin B.

Can you suggest, how I can implement this scenario? It would be easier if I create multiple staging area storage types but I would like to keep 1 storage type which is staging area and divide it into different bins.

You can use "StagArea/DoorDet.Grp" field in warehouse data tab of product master /n/scwm/mat1 and use the /SCWM/STADET_IN - Staging Area and Door Determ. (Inb.) for determining different bins based on "StagArea/DoorDet.Grp" if the WPT is same.

It makes sense to keep the WPT same for inbound scenarios and assign different "StagArea/DoorDet.Grp" in the product master and determine corresponding GR bins.

Hello

Your scenario is pretty much achievable in SAP EWM standard.

Yon can have 2 different staging area based on your setup in /SCWM/STADET_IN.

You can have separate WPT and based on separate WPT, you can determine separate staging areas in /SCWM/STADET_IN.

You can even work with same WPT and determine separate staging area based on other parameters available in /SCWM/STADET_IN like staging area/door determination group maintained in the /SCWM/MAT1 etc.

I setup with two separate WPT.

You can work with just one storage type 9010 and storage section 0001. You just need to create separate bins to represent your staging bay.
