Hi, I am trying to use a process oriented storage control with packing in WC > putaway. I have the storage process INB2 configured with steps IPK1 (auto WT and process type 3060) and IB03 (product/HU WT). IPK1 step is assigned to packing WC with std layout VPMX and repack WPT 3040. Storage process INB2 is assigned to WPT 1011 (Putaway with Storage Process). MAT1 has control ind assigned and WPT 1011 is getting determined in inbound delivery. But the delivery is locked with error "Goods movement bin not determined or entered" and " Item was saved inconsistently". I tried both the options below for storage bin determination from GR-ZONE to WC but it did not work. What is missing for bin determination?

My simple inbound process is working fine with WPT 1010 (putaway strategy is in place). My auto packing is working. This setting is required for products that do not have a standard pack size.

Hi,
try to change your process type 1011 - it is delivered by SAP w/o a source storage type and bin. If you populate that it should work (see PT 1010).

OK, I was able to get this working.
But overall this process design was complex for the requirement and added another step. (POSC requires HU and then repack at WC). Instead, we decided it is best to just pack on inbound delivery so that the final HU labels are printed before someone starts putaway on RF.
Thanks for all the responses.

Thanks for you response Markus,
/SCWM/GMBIN_DET has Bin determination in accordance with det. table and stocks with my WCPACK bin. I tried with GR-ZONE bin also but still the same error. Can you explain what bin should be maintained in POSC config and what should be in /SCWM/GMBIN_DET in my case?

Hello,
this is about the goods movement bin. Did you check in transaction /SCWM/GMBIN_DET what is contained there?
Best regards
Markus
