Hello,
I would like to know step by step customization and master data set up for full pallet removal from one storage type (without breaking pallet) and remaining partial quantities from another storage type.
For ex- below is the problem solution
I have product " X" managed as 5 EA= one box.I ordered 12 EA
Storage types 001- product X stores as three pallets 5 EA ,5 EA , 5 EA
Storage type 002- Product X stored as 50 EA loose qty
Note- I do not have fixed bin strategy
If I ordered 12 EA, system should pick 2 full pallets fro storage type 001 and remaining 2 piece from storage type 002.
I tried this, but in my case system is taking all quantities from storage type 001. I read all the previous post. But I am missing something. Can any body explain me resolution with screen shot ?
Thanks,
Milind

Hello,
My issue is still not resolved.
As suggested by SAP documentation of "partial qty first" strategy suggest below . However, I did not get any sort field related to below in stock removal rule. From where can I find below fields in stock removal rule?
In other word, what I need is,
In order to work partial qty first strategy work, which field value I have to select from stock removal rule?
Thanks,
Milind

Hi milind.chaudhari2
Hope Quantity Classifications are placed in storage type.
In Pallet Storage type, rounding whole unit to 2.
In Warehouse Process type, rounding whole unit to 3.
Could you please try and let us know the outcome of testing.
Kind Regards,
Ajit

Hello Ajit,
I tried but still system is suggesting full qty storage type resulting breaking the pallet.
I know I am missing something but not able to understand what?. I think if somebody answer my questions I will be able to get what I need.
(1) Log of wh task creation shows that quantity classification is triggered. And AUoM is set as base unit of measure. Due to this requested qty rounding to full order qty. This should not be the case. I already maintained preferred unit of measure as alternative unit of measure as well as rounding rule. In other word, if some how system rounded up order qty to full pallet qty and partial qty then my issue will resolve.
(2) As suggested by SAP documentation of "partial qty first" strategy suggest below . However, I did not get any sort field related to below in stock removal rule. From where can I find below fields in stock removal rule?
(3) Do I need to maintain pack specification or merely qty classification is enough? if yes then what type of condition record I need to maintain? I maintained OPAL in pack specification but still not resolving issue.
In other word, please provide me step by step procedure of qty split in full qty storage type and partial qty for other storage type scenario
Thanks,
Milind
Hi,
"I think what I am missing is to maintain specifically small or large quantities strategy."
Did you read the documentation I gave the link in my first answer? It says "See Strategy: Partial Quantities First with the exception that you have defined and assigned two storage type search sequences."
The strategy is that you find two different storage type search sequences. One sequence includes the storage type with the full pallets, the other the storage type where you pick less then a full pallet. The stock removal rule would be FIFO in both cases.

Hello Juergen,
I did not find stock removal strategy anywhere in EWM customization. I found stock removal rule where there are field values but no strategies as such. I maintained pack specification with full pallet quantity, maintained searched
sequence of full pallet followed by partial pallet. But system is looking for full pallet storage types only and not looking for another storage type of loose quantities. I think what I am missing is to maintain specifically small or large quantities strategy. In which configuration node I can maintain this strategy?
I know in SAP WMS, we can maintain this strategy at storage type level and provide quantity proposal in material master. But in EWM where can I provide this strategy?
Thanks,
Milind

Hi,
"So whether, small or large quantities strategy would help me?"
Yes, this is the strategy you are looking for.
"If I ordered 12 EA, system should pick 2 full pallets fro storage type 001 and remaining 2 piece from storage type 002.
I tried this, but in my case system is taking all quantities from storage type 001."
So, what have you tried? What are you settings.
"I maintained pack specification,"
How does it look like?
"My storage type is also determined correctly"
Which storage type?
It is a either pack specs or AUom to get the quantity classification. And the use of the quantity classification to find the correct storage type search sequence.
Got some WT log?

Hello,
As I said in my above question, I am not using fix bin strategy. So whether, small or large quantities strategy would help me? I maintained pack specification, rounded the unit setting =3 in storage type definition etc My storage type is also determined correctly but some how system is not picking full pallet it is suggesting breaking the pallet. Do I need to define WOCR?
What are the other options?
Thanks,
Milind

Hi,
have you read the... manual?
https://help.sap.com/viewer/9832125c23154a179bfa1784cdc9577a/1909.001/en-US/4fc0108a76ac209de1000000.... OK, you also need to read the part of the other strategy about packspecs or AUoM, but this way you learn...
