Dear Experts,
Is it really not possible to perform product specific inventory on products that are not in stock ?
My customer has a requirement to count the items even if there is no stock and confirm that the stock is zero. It is an audit requirement.
Thanks,

Hi
Currently, for my best knowledge this is not possible in standard EWM. But
have a look at the EWM Community Call - Scope of the Cloud 2105 Release page 29 of the presentation - seems this will be available in the 2105 version...
I had the same need few years ago, and we have developed a small by-pass to support it: using the RF mobile we have created a temp HU in 999, (allowing 999 to be negative) and moved it to the related bin - differences were adjusted in the end of the inv. process, include 999 inventory.

Hi,
then your customer should maybe ask the auditor how this is supposed to be done.
We are still talking about a bin based counting (even if you select a product based inventory procedure, the system will send you to the bin where the stock is supposed to be in).
A PI for non existing stock in my opinion is only possible in a pure MM- based PI (or am I wrong in that?).
For a non-WM managed storage location you can select in the TA MICN "only material with zero stock", but that does not work if a warehouse is connected.

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!
