Hi Katrin,

its not about posting in prev. periods ect... its just simple case: delivery on Friday, physical putaway next Monday - but GR need to be with Friday date (same or prev. month).

Im looking for same functionality in EWM that was available in VL32N/VL02N or MIGO (manual change Posting Date).

thanks,

Mark

I have to agree with Mark here that this is not just an issue with regards to the finance and controlling part.

In some cases you simply process the goods receipt on a different date from which you actually received the goods. In those cases you want to be able to change the actual posting date in order to not impact vendor performance with delays in your own logistical process.

It seems strange that this functionality was so readily available in ECC, but is not possible with EWM.

Kasper, I understand the business case, but I also see that EWM is a close to real time execution system and it makes sense in my eyes that the feature is not available. If an organization is not ready to process goods movements in real time (because of lack of RF environment or administrative force), I would even doubt that EWM is the right product for them.

There are always of course workarounds. For example, you can post via MIGO/VL32N to an MM storage location and right after move the stock to EWM via 311 movement type. Actually I saw this scenario working fine in organizations that lack the resources for a real time GR but want to benefit of EWM for stock caring and outbound.

Hello Mark,

This is not foreseen in EWM. The idea of EWM is that you can use it to organize and run the warehouse processes with it. All data input happens as the physical process is happening. So the assumption is that the posting dates are correct.

You can find more information in the SAP Note 2173575 - Posting date for goods movements from EWM.

Regards,

Katrin

Hello guys,

I am also interested in changing the GR date in EWM to a date in the past.

Is there still no possibility to do that as we are in higher EWM release versions in the meantime?
