EWM - Cannot find stock for product - no negative quantities

Hi all,

I'm in S4 1709. I post a 201 mov in S4 and OBD "DOG" gets created. In EWM, OBD "ODIS" is also created. I see goods movement bin "GI-ZONE" is assigned. When I post the GI I get error message "Cannot find stock for product - no negative quantities"

Any idea?

Thanks,

Hi,

so, wait... you post a GI in MIGO to create a delivery (first question would be: why would you do that)?

And then you just try to post GI in the PDO which is created in EWM? But without picking the material from a bin and moving it to the bin GI-ZONE first? Or did you just not describe this step?

All the above is no official SAP statement.

Want to learn EWM?

Check for EWM courses: https://training.sap.com/trainingpath/Applications-Extended+Warehouse+Management-EWM+in+S4HANA

Get a SAP Learning Hub Subscription: https://training.sap.com/learninghub

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!

And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!

Hi,

Users have been using MIGO since long time. They also have custom validations in that transactions. We are adding EWM now and we think that let them using MIGO is the best approach instead replace for /scwm/sgi for example. This issue is happening with serialized materials only.

Thanks,

That is like changing from a bicycle to a car and using the bicycle bell to indicate overtaking...

Coming back to the original problem:

"This issue is happening with serialized materials only."

So you did pick with a WT and there is stock in the GI zone?

sometimes in these cases the stock type determination group is missing. So the delivery needs F1, but your stock is F2. In this case you need to create a stock type determination group where you connect these 2 and assign that to the material

In this case, the delivery has F2 and the stock in the bin is also F2.

ok, have you created a warehouse product for your material in /scwm/mat1? If you truly have available stock in your bin (no open WTs), with the correct stock type and your master data is ok then I have no more ideas.
