EWM bin sorting

Hello,

as we get a simulation of the bin sort we see this in /SCWM/SBST:

How can 1200 01 01 get a 434 and so on....?

We expected:

- 1200 01 01 => 01

- 1200 01 02 => 04

- 1200 01 03 => 03

Hello,

There are two ways that we can sort according to your query: 

1. If you maintain Bin Master Data (eg. Aisle, Stack, Level), you can configure Define Sort Sequence for Activity Areas. You will be able to sort by those criteria

2. If you did not maintain or just want to sort by bin name just maintain only storage type in Define Sort Sequence for Activity Areas and everything else leave it as blank you will be able to achieve that.

this step was done by a key user, for sure i think he executed but is this the explanation - and if so, how to change?

you can go in SPRO and check customizing for activity area, there not so many. You can find it under EWM masterdata customizing

which customzing is influencing this? bins were uploaded from csv file.

if bins are uploaded , then it is from the CSV file, you can view /scwm/sbst , you did probably executed instead of view:

it is generated according to the customizing, why you expect it to be the way you suggest?
