Hello,
FYI : SAP level = Baby
i work for the SAP deployment of my warehouse and i have a problem.
in my last ERP, i can make an internal order (warehouse task) with a need's date and my IT colleagues said me that's not possible with EWM, it's true ?
My IT colleagues said me that's :
- it's not possible to print the HU label before the GR...
- it's not possible to manage the requirement date for the components of my bom
And I have found the proof of their unknowledge in this forum! (thanks for that)
thanks for your answers

Hi Michael,

You cannot create task with "need's date", but you can create internal documents with dates (Posting change un tcode /scwm/im_pc or Stock transfer order in /scwm/im_st). For the documents you can set the dates. Since I never used it, I am not sure if time will be used for LSD calculation, but I guess it should be taken into account by Wave creation.
- it's not possible to print the HU label before the GR...
It depends. PPF for HU triggers with HU creation and HU Label can be printed. Big question here is when exactly it should be printed, especially if HUs are coming from ERP system.
- it's not possible to manage the requirement date for the components of my bom
In general ERP says to EWM when goods should be delivered, EWM does backward calculation. You can "add time buffers" to this calculation based on process steps (e.g. packing +30 Minutes), or/and based on different paths (e.g. from storage type 1234 +20 Minutes ).
It is often not only about "is function available", but as well about how well it fits to the process. Sometimes implementation of the standard is more expensive as some development, and at the end key users are not so happy. Like for example creation of the document with date in EWM. It is just not user friendly. And maybe it is a change of LSD in the warehouse order (standard function in /scwm/mon ) is a better fit for the process.

Daniil
