Error while deleeting the bin in EWM

Hello team,

I am working on the deletion of two bins from EWM system. Although , the location has no warehouse task , order or inventory in system , the system is not allowing me to delete the location . The error says ' Only the empty bins can be deleted'.

For these two bins , system shows PI document with type 'POST' and 'RECO' . System is not allowing me to delete these PI docs.

Kindly suggest what could be the possible root cause for this and which all tables can be checked for any discrepancy corresponding to these bins.

You can also try to run the correction report ZRECALCULATE_CAPA from SAP Note 1532672 to correct the storage bin.

Hi Akanksha,

Even if there are no open tasks, inventory postings,etc., please check if there are any inconsistencies with the Quants. Also, clear the queues for Inbound & Outbound and try deleting via Mass change of Storage Bins.

I checked the below points :

1.No open tasks or inventory.

2. No inconsistency -checked via se80

3.Checked inbound and outbound queues , no error found.

Tried deleting the bins via 'Mass change of storage bins' but received the same error message ' Only empty bins can be deleted'.

Hi Akanksha,

I believe the Empty Indicator is not active in the Statistic tab of the Storage Bin. Can you check with this -

2536905 - /SCWM/L1012: Bin cannot be deleted, as the Empty indicator is not set.
