Hello
I am getting the following error message when trying to trigger GATP during Sale order creation :
Error in calling up function 'BAPI_APOATP_CHECK' in APO server 'SCDCLNT600': Access via 'NULL'
object reference not possible.
However I am getting this error only for a few materials. Please let me know if you encountered this error.

Request clarification before answering.
We faced the the same issue
as Transactional log got full and update server got deactivated in APO and outbound queue for APO got struck in R3
Check out Sm21 : for system error like tranctional log full and checkout inbound & outbound CIF queues as mentioned earlier ,,,,,
our problem got resolved by database rollback , activating the update server (sm14) and clearing the cif queues (smq1 & smq2 )
Let me know if it helps you ..

there may be some problem with the RFC settings. Please check the RFC destination in R/3 using SM59 transaction

Hi Dhaiva,
The most likely cause of this error is that the material has not been fully maintained in R/3 or APO.
APO :
the ATP tab and ensure that the check mode, ATP group, and Checking horiz. Fields have been filled in.
R/3 :
the Strategy Group and Availability check fields may not been correctly maintained in the MRP 3 view of the R/3 material master.
and make sure they are in sync.
