Enable Supply Planning in SAP7F

Hello Experts,

When I am trying to Enable Supply planning in the copy of SAP7F, I am getting the error 'MOTID must be assigned to the planning area from MDT ZIBMODEOFTRANSPORT.'

I have tried adding ZIBMODEOFTRANSPORT MDT, but that did not work. Request your inputs. Anyone facing the same issue?

why do you want to set the "Enable Supply Planning" flag in the planning area in the first place?

Are you aware that this is used for time-series based supply planning (TS) and not for order-based supply planning (OBP)?

The SAP7F is configured for OBP and hence does not have all the necessary configurations for TS, so it cannot work without a lot of adjustments. If you want to use TS-based supply planning, please make a copy of SAPIBP1 or SAP4.

Thank you for the response & clarity.

There was a specific scenario requirement for which we tried enabling this option in SAP7F. We tried out this option to see if it works, clearly it doesnt. We have copied SAPIBP1 & enabled it supply planning, copied the required data to SAP7F.
