EMW: Print Delivery note when packing is completed.

Hi All,

Is there a standard PPF action available to print delivery note when the packing status is completed?

We are using S4 2021.

You do not need to look for a specific PPF action. What you are looking for is a condition / condition record to control this.

The problem is: what do you consider as "packing status is complete"? When you use process oriented storage control (which you usually do, so that you can move the products to a work center for packing), you have in your picking step the creation of a pick-HU or you pick a HU. In this moment (so after the confirmation of this step) the pack status in the delivery order changes to "completed". I suppose this is not what you want?

Hi,

I think Jürgen is right when saying there is no automatic delivery note print out upon closing a HU (I mean in SAP standard).

I also think that makes sense because a delivery can have more than one HU - how should an automatism know when to print?

If I remember correctly there should be a BadI for closing the HU (related to the closing button in /SCWM/PACK). Maybe you can use that to trigger the creation of the FDO (an by that the print out of the delivery note).

Exactly , we want to print when we close HU at the packing station, that means the Packing POSC step is completed.

I do not think that is what you want. I suppose you want to put the delivery note into the HU or at least attach it to the HU. But when you set the step to complete, the HU is closed, the next WT is created, means someone can come it move it away.

I also do not think that this is easy to achieve, but that is what the "print" button on the tab "process HU" in the work center is for.

Hi,

I do not think that this is possible in the standard. As far as I can see, closing the HU does not change any status in the delivery. So there is no trigger to print a delivery note.

One option could be to create the final delivery from the work center (which I also believe, would not happen just because you close the HU), and through that trigger the print out.

But I might be wrong or maybe someone else has another idea?
