I have some outbound deliveries that are populating with a blank text line that we don't need. How can I get rid of it? I see a question from 4 years ago referenced a "complete delivery" in the sales order. That field is greyed out for me. And it's only happening for one warehouse and not all deliveries. Can anyone help?
Request clarification before answering.
Hi,
this text item is created by EWM either by the complete delivery flag or a delivery group in ERP. This controls that EWM does not allow a delivery split. You can not get rid of it - except not have one of the conditions described above.

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!

Hi Juergen,
Thanks for responding. I checked and the complete delivery flag is greyed out in the sales order as well as the customer master. And the text item showing up in EWM is blank. no information in it and no information in ECC in the sales order or delivery. When it goes back to ECC, it's causing a split which we don't want. Do you have any idea why that is the case? It's only happening to sales orders with a certain custom item category so I'm thinking that may be it.
Hi,
what do you mean with "is greyed out"? It should definitely be open the customer master when you are in change mode (assuming you have the needed authorizations. And that you don't use a transaction variant which deactivates this field). In the first screenshot the delivery is in display mode, so of course you can not change anything.
"It's only happening to sales orders with a certain custom item category so I'm thinking that may be it."
The screenshot you show of the EWM delivery items shows the EWM item type ODLV, so everything is standard on this side.
The creation of the text line is controlled by the entry in the entry "Define Item Type Determination for Outbound Delivery Process". (Extended Warehouse Management --> Goods Issue Process --> Outbound Delivery). Look for entries with the Hierarchy Type DLG (you do not want to delete them, as they have a purpose.
I don't know any setting in the ERP delivery type which could be responsible for this. But there can be two things in the EPR sales order. The flag complete delivery, or a delivery group (which is visible on the shipping screen in the sales order).

Hello Jürgen,
does this really mean, whenever a S4 delivery has flag complete delivery, the empty line item will appear and there is no way to get rid of it?
As we have an ASR interface for EWM with TM we are facing this problem: After picking, packing when we set ready for shipping indicator for these deiveries the HU information is not passed into TM Do you have any idea, how to proceed in that case?
Best regards
Hello hannes.mack ,
"does this really mean, whenever a S4 delivery has flag complete delivery, the empty line item will appear and there is no way to get rid of it?"
As I tried to explain in my answer: this is how EWM controls that a delivery split will not be done.
"As we have an ASR interface for EWM with TM we are facing this problem: After picking, packing when we set ready for shipping indicator for these deiveries the HU information is not passed into TM "
Not really any idea what to do there, I have not worked with the ASR at all, and even if, I probably would not have tried this scenario yet. If there is a problem - I would propose to open a ticket, because of course that should still work.
