Hi, this is a bit of a convoluted post with the real question right at the end in the last paragraph.
Like others before me I've used EEWB to add a field to /SCWM/MAT1.
Changes were transported correctly, new fields / tables and structures are present, however in /SCWM/MAT1 the new field is not displayed on the quality or production system.
SAP Notes:
682070 - EEW: SAP GUI: User defined fields are not visible
SAP Community forum:
The links above indicate that transaction EEWC which can be found in the Customizing Implementation Guide under the following path: "Cross-Application Components -> General Task Functions -> Easy Enhancement Workbench -> Maintain System Infrastructure" should be used on the respective system to make entries similar to the one on the development system to resolve the issue.
Attempting to start transaction EEWC on the quality or production system results in error message OXT_F 501. This message is raised because the relevant TA_DIR entry is set to non-editable.

If the lv_systemedit flag is set to ‘ ’ (blank) in the debugger, here on the quality system, the system creates the correct EEWC entry as shown below. The /SCWM/MAT1 transaction does now correctly show the new field in the “warehouse data” tab.

I don’t really think the method described above (i.e. using the debugger) to create the required entry in EEWC is the correct way. From the way I read the notes mentioned at the beginning of the post the EEWC customizing should be made on each individual system (as opposed to entered on the development system and transported to Q and P). Does anyone know what the correct procedure is to create the required EEWC entries on quality and production systems?
Thanks,
- Helios.

Hi,
I'm having the same problem.
Has anyone found a solution on how to create the EEWC entries in a Q/P system without debug_change?
Is it possible to transport the entries?
KR
David

Hi David
Our client ultimately opened the Q/P system for changes as described in my last comment (SCC4) to the post.

Hi Helios,
you have to run EEWC in each system only once by opening client, then you can see your custom fields on the screen.
