ECCS Copy Task Between Dimensions

We would like to use the copy task to copy data from one dimension/version to another dimension/version but have been unable to do so thus far. We are able to select the source version, which is in the source dimension. However when selecting tasks to be copied only the target dimension tasks are available for selection. This leads me to believe that the copy task only works between version of the same dimension. It would be greatly appreciated if you experts would please provide guidance regarding this. Thanks, Dan

Hi Dan,

I think the dimension in ECCS is similiar to the cons area in BCS. You can have different settings in the dimension for e.g. field length for cons units. Maybe this is the reason why it is not allowed to copy between dimensions.

It's the same in BCs - you could not copy data into a different cons area.
