During POSC receiving process External step is not getting updated

Hi Everyone,

We have done Setup for POSC storage control while receiving stocks via RF process .Once we have received one HU on staging bin ,external step is not getting updated as can be seen from the below screen.

My question is :Whether external step should be updated in SAP EWM standard process? If not ,then how system will determine the next step in POSC storage control.

Right now the problem we are facing is system is not able to determine the next step for Deconsolidation or putaway. If I am trying to create manual tasks using /n/scwm/adhu ,then also its again and again creating task for the same staging storage type.

Need expert advice and suggestions .Thanks.

Dear All,

Thankyou so much to all for your help here .This problem is resolved .There were 2 things which were missing here which we have changed:

1)In IB01 step internal process step was blank

2)Ih the source storage type and source bin .Storage type was not entered correctly It should always be of role :Door if we are not using :/SCWM/STADET_IN

Extremely thankful for your detailed explanation.Sorry for the delay in response.I tried once again and it does not worked .Right now we are in a process of configuring the same in SAP EWM S4 Hana decentralized box. Will see if we have the same issue and update you accordingly. Your explanations meant a lot for me .Thanks.

The system created the WT to putaway directly into 2031 because it could not determine the storage process ZNBB.

Check below:

1. 'Staging area', 'staging area door determination group' and 'door' creation, Asgnnment and determination

-Asgn Staging Area/Door Determination Group to Door

-Asgn Staging Area to Warehouse Door

-Create storage bins for door and staging areas

-Asgn Door, Storage bin and Supply Chain Unit. Tcode: /SCWM/DOOR_SCU

-Staging Area and Door Determination. Tcode: /SCWM/STADET_IN

-Access Sequence to Staging Areas and Door Determination: Tcode: /SCWM/STADET_A S S

2. Hope you have configured the document type definition and determination for inbound deliveries

3. Created the WTP, determined it for the inbound delivery document type/item type

NB: If you don't maintain the staging area/door determination, you can maintain the destination bin directly in WPT definition

4. Maintained storage process in WPT definition

5. Created work centre storage type and asgned for the external process step IB02

6. Created work centre bin and maintained in Tcode: /NSCWM/TWORKST

9. Maintain ;Specify Deconsolidation Station': IMG-EWM-Goods receipt process-Deconsolidation

10. Maintain entries for stpes IB01 and IB02 in 'Process-Oriented Storage Control'

11. Maintain 'auto WT' for both IB01 and IB02 in 'storage process -definition'

12. Storage process type seach for putaway

Thanks for your reply . I have done the configuration changes as per your suggestion and created a new delivery in ERP system and pushed to EWM system .While receiving I can see that system has created task for the final storage type 2031 instead of staging storage type 9015.According to the storage process step ,IB01 is the first step for which destination is 9015.System should create task for storage type 9015 but it has created task for the final destination task which is of storage type 2031(This is not correct).This configuration it is taking from the putaway strategies.

But the question is why it is creating task for storage type 2031 instead of 9015

While receiving via RF system has created task of storage type 2031 instead of 9015.

I have used exception code and dropped the pallet on staging bin

Here we can see that both Storage Process and External step are missing .Can you please suggest here if something is missed.Thanks.

Hi,

I did not suggest to remove the flag for auto LB for the step IB02, didn't I? OK, I was not very precise, but in this scenario the flag for auto LB is set for the first AND the second step.

The last screenshot of the HU in the bin ST001 is after confirmation of that one WT? I think that then the process is not in the HU anymore - so this screenshot does not help.

OK, how does this process work?

- you need a WPT in the inbound delivery which has your process assigned. Do you have that?

- not sure if the determination of the bin for IB01 works the way you have done it. I know this either that you enter a bin (so a complete information) or that you use the complex staging bin / door determination, then you set the flag for rule based.

- what have you set up for the determination of the deconsolidation work center?

Hi,

- your external step ZUBL - which internal process step is that assigned to (and if it is UNLO - why do you not use IB01, if you use IB02 and IB03 after that anyway?)?

- I would expect that auto LB is set for this step in your process. Otherwise nothing would happen after unloading.

- How are the target determinations set up for your steps ZUBL and IB02?

I have received HU -1000000006 on staging location .Current position is ST001 which is a staging bin.Below is the task which is created while receiving this HU and putting on staging bin.Here in the task we can see that Storage process and External Step is correct

External Step -ZUBL -Unloading

But once we can see the HU the external process step is not updated at HU level as can be seen from the below screen

Due to which the issue I am facing is system is not create next Warehouse Task which should be of Putaway and not deconsolidation, Since Deconsolidation conditions are not met.

But while I am trying to create WT it is again creating task for the same staging bin with storage type as 9015 (staging area) as can be seen from the below screen

Hi Javed

When HU is at work centers, the WT for the next process step is not automatically created as the system expects manual confirmation of work completion.

To continue with the next step/WT, select the HU at the work center and chose the ‘Complete process step for HU’ button from the menu.

if this doesn't work, share the screenshot of the storage process.
