Down Porting possibility to get Driver management functionality from TM 9.4 to SAP TM 9.1 version

HI SAP Experts,

Is there any way to down port some of the functionality from higher version to lower version of TM?

Our need is to get Driver Management functionality (which is available from SAP TM 9.3 SP03) to SAP TM 9.1 version by using some kind of Notes?

Our system is already running on TM 9.1(System1) version and we have lot of enhancements involved in the system. But there is one more system we are using for some other manufacturing plant as 9.4(system2) there using Driver functionality . we are trying to centralized our system and trying to bring all implementation of system2 -> system1. All could be replicated in 9.1 version except Driver functionality so we are trying to get some Down Porting option to get this functionality available for 9.1 also with minimum impacts.

Hope this helps to understand. Any idea on achieving this?

Hi Vardan,

I hope you are aware that mainstream maintenance of SAP TM 9.1 ends on 31.12 of this very year...

Even in TM 9.3, driver functionality was downported with great efforts, 20 SAP Notes were required, and very large ones at that. Further downport into lower releases is nigh impossible, since a lot of 9.3 and 9.2 features were heavily used, and thus require downport too. Even someone decided on downporting everything (very unlikely, due to end-of-maintenance), the system would be scrambled in such a way that your enhancements would not work anyway. A clean upgrade is the most pragmatic option. Better directly to TM 9.6.
