Does optimizer respects freeze horizon?

Hello Experts,

We have a 4 week frozen horizon during our supply planning. when running optimizer i could see that freeze horizons are not respected. the demands in freeze horizon does not gets fulfilled and also does not get rolled over to 5th period as it does for heuristic . is this the standard behavior of optimizer or we are missing any settings wrt freeze horizon.

Hello Hari,

Optimiser does respect frozen horizon. However you have to use Minimum Production Receipts of along with specifying frozen horizon in location product MDT.

Regarding demand carry forward - You need to use late delivery periods & cost rate.
