Distribute IBP excel add-in to each users

Dear Expert,

Our customer is asking us how to distribute the IBP Excel Add-in to end-users.
Because when IBP Excel Add-in is updated, end-users should update it on their laptop.

We have two option as below. Could you tell me if you have any recommendation and merit / demerit of each option?

  1. Each user download Add-in from Fiori App. 'Download Excel Add-in', then install it individually.
  2. Departments such as IT Support distribute and install to each user at once.

Hi Yuji

The best and the most commonly used approach is to use a batch installer ( generally IT admin team does that), so that whenever and new version of the addin is released, all that is required for the admin is to download it once into the main company server and then distribute it as an windows patch / software update.
