Hi Prasad,
You can disable Master Data section from Excel Add-In by maintaining restriction in business role. In a business role, maintain restriction for "Master Data Type" field in Master Data group. Edit the field and select "Restrict Authorization". Also restrict authorization in "Planning Level ID" field in Planning Object group. From your screenshot, I can see you've already restricted access to create/maintain planning objects. Once all three options are restricted, Master Data section from IBP ribbon disappears.

Hi,
If it is not possible to restrict this section by IBP business roles and restrictions, you can remove this option by removing it from the IBP ribbon.
Go to File -> Options -> Customize Ribbon -> Expand IBP and select Master Data from the right panel -> Click on Remove -> OK
This removes Master Data section completely from the IBP ribbon. To reset the customization back to default, follow the same path, select IBP and at the bottom, you will find reset dropdown. Select "Reset only selected Ribbon tab" which restores Master Data section in IBP ribbon. Please check if this can be handled centrally and applied to all users by IT admin. Further, IT admin can restrict users from customizing the ribbon to prevent any unwanted reset at user end.
Please note this will not restrict users from editing master data records from fiori apps like data integration.
Hope this helps!!

Hi Piyush,
Thanks for your response.
I have tried this option but its applicable only for self. We cannot change visibility of Ribbon to other users by changing this setting. It wont be much flexible to handle it centrally via IT team. Central team wont be able to apply this based on Business Role.

Prasad
