After introduction of Packaging Specification in EWM, what is the use of HU in S4 HANA?

Hi,

I think you compare apples with pears as they say.

Pack specs are master data that help you to build handling units in EWM (e.g. select the best match when creating a pick handling unit). They correspond to packing instructions on the ERP side.

Handling units are a combination of packing materials and materials placed on / in the packing materials (e.g. 20 apples in a carton box) and movement data as such. HUs are the "same" object in ERP and EWM.
