Determine route in shipment document

Dear Experts,

My Business requirement is to determine route in shipment document, business wants to club different deliveries into single shipment and route should be determined at the time of shipment creation. I have tried in standard configuration but there is no such configuration exist. 

Can anyone suggest me is there any user exit to achieve this ?

Hi Rajender,

Given the requirement the ,most viable way is as follows-

1- Have an additional  Z field in the shipment document, where the user can specify his preferred route (this should be maintained in the Route config). You could use Additional Data field for this.

2-Write a copy routine in VOFM that will copy this route into the Shipment header- standard Route Field and other places. This should happen at Shipment save. Pass this routine in the config for your shipment doc (in Proposal section- Copy routine field)

Guess this should work.

Route functionality is part of LE and are you planning to have this within TM?

Thanks for response, It is a part of LE and we are configured route determination at delivery level by using standard configuration but client requirement is to determine route at shipment level. In standard SAP we don't have such config to fulfill this requirement. Do we have any user exit or any possible ways to achieve this?

I am not sure if this is the correct forum since any queries related to delivery/shipment for LE/SD  should be addressed in a different forum
