Demo Master data for Response and Supply SAP IBP

Greetings experts

We have a requirement where we have to demo the Response and Supply module. We have, unfortunately, been having issues setting up the SDI so we cannot integrate to a live system as yet.

Is there a way to maintain "external master data" and "key figures" without SDI? This should be in line with the configuration and test scripts provided by Best Practices.

What are the bare minimum master data that is required for the Response module to be operational and to show a demo.

HI Mohammad,

You cannot upload external master data and Transaction data directly in IBP without SDI for Response Planning Area.

SDI is mandatory to extract the Master and Key Figure data.

There are 2 ways, you can extract the data using SDI.

The integration process for the recommended SDI adapters are described as below.

1.You can use SDI ABAP Adapter, If you want to integrate with an SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA System.

2.You can use SDI File Adapter, If you integrate with any other external system (Non SAP System).

Hi,

You can not load master data into the Response planning area. The only option is to integrate data using File or ABAP adaptor.

What are the issues are you facing while setup SDI integration?
