Hi Experts,

I have some basic questions from IBP demand planning, hope you will help me out to understand these topics

1. We have some materials to be extended to other regions. How to check if materials are already available in those regions, how can we do that and what all Master data we have to maintain.

2. How can we check for which regions Demand planning process available. And how we can extend demand planning process to new regions.

Hi Kumar,

1 .Collect list of plants for a new region. check MARC table in ECC/S4 with filter of product and plants to confirm whether products are extended to the plants( for plants in a new/particular region)

MD required : Location, Loc Prod, Cust Prod, Cust Src( if relevant for Planning level) into IBP. ( as Product is already available, i excluded product MD)

2. check master data and transactional data to understand the regions which DP process is already available. To extend the process to the new region , you need to get MD and TD (Sales History etc..) into IBP.

Hi Kumar, when you mention that Materials have to be extended to other regions, is it correct to assume that you have Product1/Region1 and would like to extend to "N" other Regions? If so:

1) You would have to manually check this information in IBP Excel AddIn or "Manage Planning Objects" Fiori APP and only then replicate the Products to another Region. Or, you could have a CI-DS that read all your Planning Objects and replicate the missing Regions (if they are already known);

2) If all of your Products must be available for all Regions, then you could simply automate it through CI-DS, where you extract all these data, check what is missing and create it.

Best Regards,
Jorge Serpa.
