Defining stages at SAP TM (Route Determination)

We're implementing some enhancements in SAP TM 9.0 to set the system to define transportation routes considering the geographical locations of each delivey point, including the transportation zones.

We understand the the system should create a route considering the locations of each delivery point (stages), defining the itinerary according to the geographical locations even creating the FO manually.

We've made some tests identifing that the system generates right transportation route for some stages, but not for others. We need to make sure the system will generate the righ transportation route when we create the FO manually.

Thanks for having some supporte.

Domenico,

kindly specify what exactly you are trying to do.
Example: at one of my customers, they need to go via a certain location X when they come from Germany and go to Norway. To make the system generate 2 stages one from the departure to X and one from X to the end Point, I find it most comfortable to use default routes. It is master data and NOT an enhancement. You define a default route from Zone Germany to x and from x to Zone Norway.

When generating the FU, the System will check what is the zone of the departure point and what is the zone of the Arrival Point and default 2 stages. Now, you can create a Manual freight order for each stage.

Not sure if this answers your question, let me know.

Hello Petra, thanks for your support.

Your example is almost the same we had tested. I have one customer located at point X and two delivery points: A and B.

We defined default routes from point X to point A and from point X to point B.

In some cases, the system creates the right route from Point X to point A and from point A to point B. But in others that's not happen. He defines a route from Point X to point B and from point B to point A.

I believe it's missing some data at default settings. That's my concern.

It was really useful your support, but let me know if you may us considering something else.

Regards,
