Deconsolidation - GR process

Hi everyone,

I have a question. I would like to proceed following steps in my goods receipt process:

1. IB02 (Decon)

2. IB03 (Putawy)

I did following:

I packed a pallet in my Inbound delivery with two products. One product should go to storage type 0100 (Consolgroup A) and one product to type 0101 (Consolgroup B). The result was one HU with two postions. After packaging I posted my GR to my ID. Now, I would like to create a WT and the system finds my DECON work center. That is right. But I got two more WT in status "WAIT". In summary I have a WT for putaway to decon work center, one putaway WT for postion 10 of my HU to my final destination and one WT for position 20 of my HU to my final destination.

Here my customizing

I have choosen "non automatic" because I don't wanna have automatic WT in my decon work center, because I would like to repack my HU's.

Here is something I don't understand: Why am I not able to tick the field "Rule Based" when I enter a destination bin? When I try it to have a destination bin and "rule based" in parallel, then I get an error. What is the best practice to use it with "rule based" or not.

My issue is the repackaging on the decon storage type. (Screenshot 1).

I would like to split my pallet 2123456780000002729 and would like to repack position 20 to my new palett 212345678000002743. The problem is, that I still have open warehouse task although I don't have a tick in my field "Automatic";
Error:

The open WT's prevent my from splitting up my HU's. And the destination of my WT's 10000203/204 is wrong, but I think this came from the mixed pallet. The system found my storage type 0970 (which is found if the system is not able to found a bin in my right storage types);

Here my WT's

Now my questions:

1. Is it in general possible to use the POSC like I have? Only having IB02/IB03?

2. Is it normal that I have open LB's in my decon and I would like to split up my pallets? Or is my process wrong?

3. What is the problem in my customizing (see above) with "Rule based-indicator" or "Destination". How can I maintain both in parallel?

Thank you very much!

Regards

Daniel

Hi Juergen, Hi Daniil,

thanks for you reply.

Now I have changed my POSC settings, I am only using IB02 and IB03

And I changed my work center to "Allowing repack with active LB" . Now I am able to repack my HU's. It works.

I tried a new example, but I think something is still wrong here.

1. I pack my consolidate HU in my inbound delivery as usual.

2. Post the GR to my Inbound Delivery

3. Create my LB

And here is something wrong. I got three LB's. The first for the tranfer to the Decon bin (this is right) and the second and third for my final destination bin. But I think the destination bin for my second and third is wrong, because I got always my "Clarification Zone" as destination bin.

I checked the SLG1 - Log and the system is trying to find a bin without a HU-Type?

My expectation would be, that I get an update at least when I close my HU (and close step IB02) in the Decon work center, the system check the HU-Type and change the final destination bin. But it doesn't. Do you have an Idea why I don't get an update after closing step IB02?

When I confirm my HU to the clarification bin and try to transer it with WPT 9999, the system found a bin. When I am using the rule based function for POSC in step IB02 the system found a final destination bin instead of the decon area. So I think, my putaway strategy is right.

Could you help?

Thanks a lot!

Daniel

I tested a process where I have only one position in my HU. The HU should not relevant for Decon I guess; And yet he wants to go into the step IB02. How can I skip IB02?

But I think my putaway strategy is right.

Hi,

"3. What is the problem in my customizing (see above) with "Rule based-indicator" or "Destination". How can I maintain both in parallel?"

In this table you either enter the destination bin. Or set the flag "rule-based" and enter the deconsolidation work center or destination bin in Customizing: SCM Extended Warehouse Management --> Extended Warehouse Management --> Goods Receipt Process --> Deconsolidation --> Specific Deconsolidation Station.

The advantage of using "rule-based" is that the step can also be skipped if not required.

Hi Daniel, "Rule Based" means that system determines destination from the Putaway strategy.

1. Yes, it should work with IB02 + IB03.

2. Deconsolidation works based on open (actually waiting) WTs to the destination. From these WTs system knows where you stock should go, and for example in case new HU type does not fit to the destination storage type, system are able to re-create warehouse task when you close destination HU. If you want to repack smaller quantity as you have in the WT it could be done with SPLT exception code.

3. No sure if you use deconsolidation work center or not. You need to use /scwm/dcons tcode. There you have deconsolidation tab, on this tab you have a button to select warehouse task (= it works with WTs). You can try to run your process with RF, maybe it would be easier, to go through. If you repack whole WT qty, you can try to drag&drop warehouse task itself, and not the stock.

Daniil
