Dec. EWM - Repetetive Manufacturing - Backflush components

Hello specialists,
I am just facing the following unexpected situation: we connected a S/4HANA 2020 to a decentralized SAP EWM S/4HANA 2022.
When trying to do the backflush for repetetive manufacturing we get the Error:
RM895 - storage location of compontent *** is EWM-managed - backflush of components not allowed - switch to an IM storage location.

Does anybody know if this restriction has been changed for a higher S/4 release? I.e. coupling a S/4HANA 2021 or 2022 to the dec. EWM.
Or do we have a general restriction right here?
