We are currently implementing a TM9.5 system connected to ECC, using the shipper scenario. Here we also integrate EHS Dangerous Goods management for identifying DG products, calculating ADR points and of course to be able to generate documents that correctly state the DG phrases. Here is where my question comes in:
In ECC you could use "text patterns" with text symbols to "build" a complete DG phrase, with numbers, weights, UN codes etc. This works in conjunction with SAPSCRIPT or Smartforms.
What is the TM or EWM equivalent of text patterns and how do they integrate with Adobe forms? I am explicitly mentioning EWM because they share the same layer for exchanging DG data and I expect them to have the same way of working.
Request clarification before answering.
Hello
regarding: "What is the TM or EWM equivalent of text patterns and how do they integrate with Adobe forms?"
To my knowledge: there is no equivalent Your statement "In ECC you could use "text patterns" with text symbols to "build" a complete DG phrase, with numbers, weights, UN codes etc. This works in conjunction with SAPSCRIPT or Smartforms." is 100% correct
Currently: for EHS classic: i am not aware of any integration option to "Adobe forms"; Current status is (according to my knowledge): for EHS / DG integration for "document" handling: SAPSCRIPT etc. is currently the only option.

PS: in a "nutshell". If you use a "ECC" system (in which you maintain DG related information) you must prepare an ALE to a "TM" related system to distribute the DG information using ALE. In this TM system you must prepare basic EHS set up (Phrases; DG etc.) you that you can print DG data on documents
