Customer attributes missing in excel UI

Hi Experts,

We took a copy of SAP4.

We are facing an issue where we are unable to see customer ID and customer description in excel UI -> New view -> Planning level while I can see other customer attributes.

We made the following checks:

1. Customer ID and Customer description is part of customer MDT and data has been loaded successfully

2. Customer ID and Customer description is selected in planning area attributes

3. Customer ID and Customer description is selected in relevant planning levels

4. Have authorization to view Customer ID and Customer description attributes

Tried the following:

1. Re-activated MDT and planning area multiple times

2. Changed description of Customer ID and Customer description attributes in planning area but no luck

Please guide.

Regards,

Aditya G

Hi Aditya,

Please check if count of customer ID and description is more than 10000. If true, then you need to set global parameter for PLAN_VIEW with parameter name MAX_DIM_MEMBERS to see the customer ID and description in excel.

Thanks,

Rohit

Hello Rohit,

We have only 44 customers, still having issues. Do you suggest to put that global setting in that situation.

Hi Dinesh,

Global setting is required only if attribute count is more than 10,000.

However I am not sure if you are referring to same issue reported by Aditya and replying on his behalf. If you have different system then please do the checks mentioned by Aditya in original query i.e attributes are assigned to MDT and planning area, authorization to view MDT etc.

Thanks,

Rohit

Hello Dinesh

If none of this is working and you are still unable to see the attributes, then there must be some technical issue. Can you create an OSS message so that we can have a deeper look into the issue?

Thanks

well, we had two kind of issues:

1) adjusting MD after we had already data in, after it they disappeared.

2) someone accidentally loaded without any selection all several 100000 customer from ERP, and even as we did not have planning levels for that, the whole attribute went missing. For that, the workaround with setting the parameter worked until you remove the faulty data. than we remove the parameter again

Your description more looks like case 2. Are you sure you really have only 44 customer loaded???

did you make the adjustments before or after you loaded your master data?

If after, try to re-load master data

We had that once that after a change MD had not been displayed any more, but after re-loading they where back
