Cumulation of capacity

Hello,

I have to start using Capacity planning in my factory. But the workcenter capacity have been setting without considering real capacity. Despite that, I can't change the capacity configuration because it would change the scheduling.

I thought I could use "fake" workcenter with the accurate capacity, linked them to the real workcenter that receive the demand throught a hierarchy. with the cumlation of requirement capacity, it,s working.

But now, they are asking me to create bigger hierarchy, representing a section of the factory. I consider creating a hierarchy of 3 levels ( level 1 : root, level 2 : fake workcenter, level 3 : Workcenter with requirement capacity). Is is possible to cumulate capacity requirement from level 3, but the available capacity from level 2 ?

I'm not sure I understand what you are trying to do with the capacity hierarchy but wanted to make sure you realized that there are separate forumulas for Scheduling and Capacity in the work center so changing the forumula for capacity would have no impact on scheduling.

Hello Marine,

SAP standard functionality allows resource hierarchy calculation only for 2 levels. The following links might be helpful to you.
