Hello,
There is a requirement to overlap order between bom levels in ppds. i got to the point overlapping them with distribution key (which linear distribution is hardcoded in ppds, no matter what you do in distribution function customizing the result is the same) as in screenshot. But as far as i read from notes and test myself, its a maximum overlapping and we can not define this overlapping quantities/times as we can do in interoperations.
In note 584204 says, SAP_PP_C001 takes period factor into consideration but in embedded ppds product view is in display mode. in scm related field extensibilty note it says this field is mapped but only 0 or 1. there is no option to define such as 0,2.
Is there any way to overlap cross orders like we do in interoperations? also the possibility of any badi/user exits or external relationship to achieve this? i would be very glad if anyone can answer.
Edit: Since BOM offset is only in workdays, its not applicable.

Hello,
There is no option to set the Period factor value to other number then 0 or 1. As SAP KBA 2770994 - Period Factor in S/4HANA
You may use the lot size setting of the Product Heuristic and there you are able to configure the usage of Period Factor.
Did you try the lead time offset from BOM?
Integration of Bills of Material
Heuristics SAP_PP_C001 Continuous planning aims to react to a requirement situation on time. Therefore, the scheduling of continuous orders was developed to ensure that requirements are covered on time (overlapping). If the receipt is to occur before the requirements date, then the safety range from the product master ('Lot size' tab) is to be used. In this case, the requirements gradientis moved by the safety range (based on the working hours). Scheduling is therefore carried out on the basis of real working hours.
You may also explore BAdI /SAPAPO/RRP_PLANNING for overlap cross orders

Hello Mr. Brahmankar,
Thank you for the input. I had already tried lead time offset in BOM before, but after trying operation lt. offset in BOM it seems like i am getting the results i want.
In PDS i can see percentage indicatior and it says it can be either absolute offset or percentage offset. My question is where can i define that percentage? Is it possible with S4 Embedded PPDS?
