We have scenario for one of our client where VLPOD is not getting completed ,
Let me explain the scenerio in detail.
Create one or two customer sales orders which are shipped out of EWM Storage Location.
2.Create Outbound deliveries against sales orders (OBD1, OBD2)
3.Picking and Packing are completed. Pick HUs created.(HU1 and HU2)
4.Create a Stock Transport Order from EWM Storage Location to Non-EWM Storage Location(3PL).
5.Outbound delivery (OBD3) created. Picking and Packing are completed. Pick HU Created.(HU3)
6.Pack all these carton Hus(HU1,HU2 and HU3) into single Pallet HU (HU4) which becomes cross HU.
7.Create a Transportation Unit. Activate TU. Assign Pallet HU(HU4) to the TU.
8.Start Loading
9.End Loading
10.Departure TU at the checkpoint. This triggers the Post Goods Issue of all three outbound deliveries.
Also, STO OBD creates inbound delivery using SPED output.
11.Proof of delivery is triggered for the STO’s OBD(OBD3).
12.There are two issues in this process.
a.Issue#1 : VLPOD is not successful , we are getting error message “HU Items material posting is inconsistent”
b.Issue#2: Cross Delivery HU is not copied into inbound delivery
Question : Hello Experts, Any one come across this scenario? How did you handle this scenario? Please share your thoughts . Appreciate your feedback on this.
Thanks
Krishnaraj,
I guess this is happening because of your STO delivery going to 3PL with output SPED. Can you confirm the same issue happening with only OBD3 and TU with HU4.
Please check the note: 1119073 - FAQ Automatic inbound delivery creation for stock transfers
Is your receiving storage location in 3PL plant is HU managed (that could be the reason). If yes, why do you need HU details in SAP if it is 3PL managed? Other option you can try is, do not to trigger SPED instead use EDI 856 DESADV idoc to let the 3PL know.
