Hi Guys,
I found it really strange that when I create a new Customer contact type (FSCM Collections management) it appears in two options (Inbound and Outbound) while try to use it from the Work list. Though we can live with it, I am really curious to know whether this can be overridden somehow.
I did some research on this in SCN forums and someone said that it cannot be overridden. I find it hard to believe as the Contact types provided by SAP don't come up in the Work list with these two options.
Thanks
Kishan

Hello Kishan
There are two options for contact type inbound / outbound, which I think cannot be overrridden. Please refer below link. We dont have option to set contact types.
Customer Contact - SAP Collections Management (FIN-FSCM-COL) - SAP Library
Also I did not get your statement " Contact types provided by SAP don't come up in the Work list with these two options" could you please explain / provide screenshot what exactly you are looking for,

Hello Kishan
If you observe for SAP defined contact type description in UDMV_CCT_TYPE there is single entry "call". Where as in drop down there are two options "inbound call" and "outbound call" . For each entry in table, inbound and outbout gets appended for both SAP defined and custom contact types. However for custom contact types it is coming in parenthesis.
In my opinion you can not and need not overwrite inbound and outbound words. For email also you can mention single entry "Email" instead of having two entries as incoming email and outgoing email in table UDMV_CCT_TYPE.

Thanks for the response Aniket.
Yes, I understand that I don't need to have two entries in this table.
But was curious that, in case I want the description to read as "Outbound Email" and "Inbound Email" rather than "Email (Inbound)" and "Email (Outbound)", if there is a way. Looks like there isn't. Not a biggie.
