Create customer source of supply in order based planning

Hello Experts,

I am new to the IBP order-based planning. Can someone please explain how to create a customer source of supply in the OBP?

Hello Srikanta,

OBP Plans at a Material Location Level with sales order confirmations happening by Customer. Sales Orders are visible in OBP by 'Material Availability Requirement Date' and not by 'Requested Delivery Date'.

Because OBP Doesn't plan for demand by Customers ( in contrast to Time Series Planning), it doesn't have MD for Customers source of supply where you can enter lead time for customers for plan accordingly.

Hi Gaurav, does this mean that the customer (location type c) will not reflect in Supply Chain Network app as a node? Unlike in Time series where if there is Customer Source, that node with the leg connecting to the DC reflects?

are you modeled Flexible or External master data for OBP?
