Hi,
I have a requirement to copy from KF1 to KF2 where i need to specify Source attribute and Target Attribute within the Planning Area..
Ex: KF1 Product A to KF2 Product B
I don't think Copy operator can help here. Please help if any options available..
Best regards,
Divya

Hi Divya,
You can also use attribute transformation as shown below. You have to additionally create and maintain MDT to capture PRDID to NEWPRDID mapping.
Hope this helps!!

hello Divya
If you requirement is primarily that you manufacture under 1 product code (e.g FG1) and sale it under a different product code (e.g FG2) below is the recommended approach for the solution.
1) I am assuming that your demand primarily comes on FG2 and then you manufacture the supply on FG1 and then want to transfer the stock from FG1 to FG2 and do the demand fullfillment.
2) As a first step you need to create production source Header and item for FG1 where FG2 should be the component in the production source item for FG1. This way the demand for FG1 will be transferred to FG2 as depdendent requirement.
3) for FG2 you need to create another production source header and item (if needed) where based ont he depdendent demand that came from FG1 system will generate production receipt for FG2.
4) Based on the source ID relationship and production lead time (if any) system will transfer stocks of FG2 as component stock for FG1 and you will have the equivalent component stock for FG1 itself. Based on this component stock system will update the supply element for FG1 and then you are good to sell those or rather consume those stocks agaisnt the demand you have for FG1.
let me know if that helps

Thanks Piyush, Realignment is one options we are thinking, I have no clue but just want to know if Attribute transformation works in this case.

Techincally attribute transformation can also work for this, but you need to do additional master data maintainance where you need to have a reference MDT where you need to map the manufacturing product to the selling product. Below I have provided one more approach, please check and let me know if that works for you.
Hi Divya,
This is not possible to achieve using only copy operator. Please explore data realignment functionality in IBP.

Hi Kenta,
I really appreciate and thanks for the detailed screen shots.
My requirement is we have to copy one product data to another product lets say Product FG126 to Product FG127.
I want to copy KF1 Prod FG126 to KF2 Prod FG127.(this is due to we are manufacturing on one name and selling the product on different name.)
Thanks,
Divya

Hello Divya,
I do not know the detail of your situation, but why do you think copy operator does not work?
As long as I understand your requirement, that is to copy the value of KF1 to KF2 within same Planning Area.
Then I suppose it works for sure. for instance, suppose that I want copy the value of KF1 to KF2.

First thing to do is to create a copy operator in Copy Operator Profile App. (you set source and target KFs respectively in this task)

Then, you go back to Excel UI and execute Cope Operator. After copy operator runs successfully, you will surely see that the value of source KF(KF1) is copied to target KF(KF2), as the pic indicates.

I hope I could contribute to you. and Let me know if I understood your requirement wrongly...
The Best,
Kenta Kono
