Copy and Disagg across versions in the same planning area

Dear All,

We have two DCs "D1" and "D2" in baseline version. Both these DCs are at North America region.

We have a virtual DC with the ID as "DC_NA" in the upside version. This is basically an aggregated DC at North America region.

Consensus Demand Qty (PRODLOCCUST) is generated at D1 and D2 in baseline version as a result of demand planning.

Our requirement is that we need to aggregate the demand at these two DCs D1 and D2 and put it as "Independent Demand" at the DC "DC_NA" in the upside version.

Is this possible through the available operators (Copy / Disagg / Version Copy) ?

Is this possible without attribute transformation?

Thanks & Regards,

Paul

Hi Paul,

It is possible without attribute transformation. However, the approach is not very intuitive and involves use of copy operators and data realignment functionality. If I could think of simpler approach, will post as comment.

1. Copy Consensus Demand Plan Qty to KF1@WKPRODLOC

2. Setup data realignment project with 2 steps.

Step 1: Map LOCID - source : DC1 and target: DC_NA. Make sure to select "Sum up Source and Target" in Key Figure Calculation dropdown. Select only KF1 under key figure section.

Step 2: Map LOCID - source: DC2 and target: DC_NA. Make sure to select "Sum up Source and Target" in Key Figure Calculation dropdown. Select only KF1 under key figure section.

3. Execute realignment project.

4. Copy KF1@WKPRODLOC to Independent Demand@WKPRODLOC

5. Initiate version copy - Independent Demand at Baseline to Upside.

Depending on planning cycle (Copy Consensus Demand Plan Qty to Independent Demand) , you need to create new realignment project every cycle which is not cumbersome since these projects can be copied and replicated.
