Hi experts,

What are the end results of converting a planned order to process orders, in product view, by setting conversion indicator?

I tried converting few planned orders, i got the following results.

1. Planned order got converted to process order (desired result)

2. Planned order got firmed (ATP status - checked and partially confirmed )

3. Planned order got firmed (ATP status - not checked )

can someone please explain why the results are different?

Hello,

In product view (/sapapo/rrp3), you input command GT_IO in the command field and check order category . These category explain you these status.

If you execute an ATP check in PP/DS a planned order, which have any PP/DS relevant component changes the 'ATP Status' of the order to 'Checked and Fully Confirmed'

'Planned order (confirmed, firmed)'/ ' PlOrd.(CF)' (ATPCAT = AL)

or 'Planned order (not firmed, confirmed)'/'PlOrd.(NC)' (ATPCAT = AK).

2. Planned order got firmed (ATP status - checked and partially confirmed )

ATP checked for components and not all components available in full quantity.

3. Planned order got firmed (ATP status - not checked )

No ATP checked done on this planned order.

Hi Brahmankar,

Sorry for the late reply.

Whenever i am converting the planned order to process order, the planned orders are getting firmed instead of getting converted to process order. Could you please let me know how i can convert those firmed orders to process orders or what might be reason that they are getting firmed?

Also i have run the scheduling for these planned order in detailed scheduling board, so will that cause the planned order to get firmed?

Hello,

Planned order will get firmed if there are any manual changes to the planned orders.

You can see these planned order * asterisk mark in MD04 and PP firmed on product view //RRP3.

Whenever i am converting the planned order to process order, the planned orders are getting firmed instead of getting converted to process order. Could you please let me know how i can convert those firmed orders to process orders or what might be reason that they are getting firmed?

If the conversion of planned order failed it become firmed this is as per standard SAP behavior.

First you need to find out the reason for conversion failure, this could be due to any master data issue or due to unavailability components are restrict to order conversion in OPJK for your order type and plant combination for function 1 create and 2 Release = 3 No creation if material is missing.

Or you can try to convert same order from MD04 and check if you are able to convert planned order to process order.
