Consume product that are not relevant for staging in SAP EWM

Hi,

I have a question regarding raw material consumption in SAP EWM with reference to a production order for materials not relevant for Staging.

In the following SAP EWM documentation link, in the consumption section, it's mentioned : "You can consume product that are not relevant for staging, for example, products that are stored in a silo, from every bin in the warehouse."

https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_EXTENDED_WAREHOUSE_MANAGEMENT/3d97bec9bf1649099384bb8167df3cf2/c39deb5...

But when i try to consume a product not relevant for staging (No WM Staging in the control Cycle), either through the RF or through the "Post Consumption - Production" Fiori application, an error message is raised saying that the manufacturing order is not fount. (logic as there is no PMR generation for materials not relevant for staging).

Can anyone help on how is it possible to consume in EWM a material not relevant for staging from any storage bin using the RF or the Fiori app as mentioned in the SAP Documentation ?

Thank you for your help.

Hi,

even if the material is not to be staged (because it is in the PSA storage area already):

- you still need a control cycle in ERP (with EWM staging selected)

- you need a control cycle in EWM for the PSA, with the correct bin, and the selection "not relevant for staging".

The product must be part of the PMR.

All the above is no official SAP statement.

Want to learn EWM?

Check for EWM courses: https://training.sap.com/trainingpath/Applications-Extended+Warehouse+Management-EWM+in+S4HANA

Get a SAP Learning Hub Subscription: https://training.sap.com/learninghub

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!

And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!

Hi Juergen,

Thank you for sharing the solution! I've changed the config of the EWM control cycle and i'm happy to report that it's working perfectly.

I appreciate your assistance!

Regards,
