Hi Members
What are the different ways to transfer data between ECC and IBP Systems.
Thanks
Sunil

Hi Sunil,
Data integration between IBP and ECC in two different ways.
Times series based planning:
SAP Cloud Platform Integration for data services (CPI-DS) can be used to transfer data between ECC to IBP and IBP to ECC. IBP 1902 release SAP ERP, supply chain integration add-on for IBP now support a new field extension concept for extractors in time-series based integration. Product data structures are now supported by the add-on and the master data template in CPI-DS.
For more details please check SAP help http://help.sap.com/ibp_erp_addon
Order series based planning:
Open API is based on SAP HANA Smart Data Integration (SDI) and is used for a periodic data transfer from any system to the order data store in SAP Integrated Business Planning. The source system is SAP ERP, you can install the SAP ERP, supply chain integration add-on for SAP Integrated Business Planning to collect and transform the relevant master data and transactional data.
If you would like to understand more about integration scenarios refer to SAP help https://help.sap.com/viewer/da797ae2bf6246d58abd417f24915d55/1902/en-US/0d507124752549d1aee1eb36388a...
Apart from this integration approach user can manually upload data any point of time-based on Data Integration Job app from IBP.
Please note that both processes agent installation mandatory to communicate ECC - IBP both directions.

Time Series based data, both directions IBP <-> ECC or S/4HANA: CPI-DS Cloud Platform Integration for Data Services, needing an on-premise Agent installed at customer site. We have very new content data extractors build, compare the new OSS Note 2735177 , reusing the ECC and/or S/4-AddOn developed originally for SDI. The Webservice Anil mentioned you would need to call via CPI-DS to upload the data into ECC or S/4 or APO, but you still go via CPI-DS and have the webservice on the receiving side
Orderbased Data, both directions: SDI Smart Data Integration, needing an on-premise Agent installed at customer site as well, see high-level blog.
You can load files for time series data via CPI-DS or via the Data Integration App in IBP.
For loading of files to orderbased planning, you need to install an Agent and than load the flatfiles, which have to be in a very specific format.
oData can be used to read data from IBP.

Hi Irmhild/Anil,
I have one query.
We are implementing IBP S&OP and approach for integration with S/4 would be to use Supply Chain Add On into Replication table and then will run time-series extractors as per attached help document.
Consider the scenario for Material Integration and we have 50,000 Material/Plant combination extracted first time in *EXT .table and same has been extracted using extractor and using CI/DS will be sent to IBP.
Next day we have like 10 more products/location and BTE is already activated, so they will be moved to table '/IBP/MARA_EXT'
My requirement is that Product Extractor for time- series which is '/IBP/PRODUCT_ATTR' should extract only these new 10 new products from '/IBP/PRODUCT_ATTR' and same will be sent to IBP using CPI-DS, how I can achive this and share if some exact document available for this.

Additional Question on the same Topic: Why cannot we use SDI to integrate data from both ECC tables and non-SAP sources into IBP Time series? I know everyone uses CPI-DS for this integration into IBP Time series? But is SDI an option to load into IBP Timeseries?

Hi Sunil,
Please check out Data Integration Scenarios which explains different integration use case.

Hi Sunil
depends on your requirements and functionality you want to use in IBP
ECC can be connected to IBP application using CPI-DS (previously HCI) if IBP application use order based than in addition to CPI-DS you will need SDI interface . IBP you can load directly csv file or using CPI-DS. Output o IBP can be extracted using file format or using webservice application directly to ECC
