Hi everyone!
Current situation:
We have a warehouse where most of our inventory is centralized.
This warehouse is located near our factory, but between the warehouse and the factory we have high-turnover stock storages to supply the factory.
We also have a small low-turnover stock at the factory, but it is not our focus to store there.
Requirement:
Based on the information above, we would like to know how to configure SAP with two processes that currently happen in the material receipt (purchasing) area, entering the stock in the warehouse or storage:
For high-turnover/priority processes: Materials are delivered directly to the storages, bypassing the warehouse due to the slow delivery and exit process to the factory.
For medium-turnover/priority processes: Materials are delivered to the warehouse, and after receipt and organization, when requested, they are sent to the storages and consequently to the factory.
Question:
How can we configure SAP with these two types of receipts without the need for ABAP programming or any type of configuration that a common user cannot do? (SAP ECC 6.0)
The goal is to find a solution that can be implemented by a regular user without the need for specialized technical knowledge.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi,
I think to answer this, it would be necessary to know your organizational structure and what you are doing. And: do you have an SAP system set up already? Or is that an implementation question?
"This warehouse is located near our factory, but between the warehouse and the factory we have high-turnover stock storages to supply the factory."
Is "the warehouse" and "high-turnover stock storages" one warehouse number? Means the stock belongs to the same plant + storage location, which is connected to this warehouse number?
The next question is:
"For high-turnover/priority processes: Materials are delivered directly to the storages, bypassing the warehouse due to the slow delivery and exit process to the factory.
For medium-turnover/priority processes: Materials are delivered to the warehouse, and after receipt and organization, when requested, they are sent to the storages and consequently to the factory."
How do you identify this? When and how do you know what a "high-turnover/priority process" is? Is it depending on the material? Or that you just need this in that moment?

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!
