Component Product Linkage with Product in IBP-S&OP

Hi,

We want to see BOM components linked with its Parent product(FG).Below are our requirement.

BOM should show the source id of its Parent ID and its Immediate product(Ex:raw Material to show SFG and FG together as source).Also we are not using capacity planning in our project.So we are not using component usage or component supply KF.We want to see any of the KF at WKPRODLOC.Please let us know,how to achieve this?

Hi Venkadesh,

Raw material linked directly to FG or SFG will already be visible through dependent production demand. However if there is a linkage between SFG and FG, that will have different SourceID. You may try to create a supply chain network diagram to visualize the component and FG/SFG linkage at processing plant. I could not think of any key figure calculation to define this.

Hi Rohit,

Thanks for your response.Standard IBP supports Component linkage with sourceid of its previous level.

Raw material -> FG(Sourceid 1)

Raw Material->SFG(Source id 2)

But they we want to see Rawmaterial-> SFG and FG together as reference.So that they will have clear visibility this raw material belongs to which FG.Same Raw material as a component to many SFGs and FGs.How to model it in IBP? Please let me know your views.

Hi Venkadesh,

Can you please elaborate more on how you want to see BOM and FG linkage?

Do you want a key figure which should show combination at FG-BOM-LOCID level or a linked master data(which can be done through virtual MDT by creating a join between production header and production item master data)
