Complex Unloading only possible with HU's ?

Hi Experts,

I'm new to SAP EWM. Could you please help me with the query below.

Current scenario:

We are receiving the goods with POSC concept.

1. IB01 - Unloading - 3065

2. IB03 - Put away - 1011

So IB01 is assigned with Source storage type as 9030 and HU group as E- Pallet

Can I receive the goods only in cases with Process oriented storage control ? Is it possible ?

Kindly help me out.

POSC only works with Handling units.

Thanks for the clarification. So in a case, if my vendor sends the product only in cases and I wanted to achieve the below scenario.

Goods are received in cases.

1. Unloading

2. Count

3. Put away.

Could you please guide us ?

You can achieve this in POSC.

Create a storage process ( Standard from SAP is INB1) and place the external steps ( 1. Unloading

2. Count 3. Put away.)

Hi Vijay,

POSC in EWM works with HU's only and you can have as many processes as you want which process will be followed depends on your products nature. For example some products need to be counted always where some other products need to have quality inspection or some other for VAS. You can define different processes in configurations of POSC.

You can also define new WPT's as per your requirements and new processes can be linked to those WPT's in case of inbound process, which can be determined using process control indicators which is assigned to products in product master. one simple example is below:

Product A should be counted always:

Storage Process: ZIN1 with steps IB01, CNT and IB03

Product B should have quality inspection:

Storage Process: ZIN2 with steps IB01, QIS and IB03

Product C need to go through quality and Value added services also to be performed:

Storage Process: ZIN3 with steps IB01, QIS, VAS and IB03
