Combined ATP check for 2 diff. materials

Do we have any SAP functionality which can be used to perform ATP on combined stock/supply schedules of 2 diff. materials?

Evaluating availability of a combination of materials (eg. MAT123 and MAT123_A), by combining Inventory, Demand, Supply information and looking at collective view.

SAP offers in GATP (a module of SCM/APO) something like rule-based ATP (RBA). There you can configure to check another product number if the current one does not have sufficient in stock.

Example:

Sales Order 4711 / Position 10 for MAT123 with 100 pcs customer demand

Current stock:

MAT123 = 50

MAT123_A = 100

GATP-RBA does 2 steps:

Step1) Check MAT123 --> has only 50 --> partial confirmation in 4711/10 for 50 pcs.

Step2) Goes to MAT123_A in same location --> check if remaining open 50 are in stock --> creates a Sales Order sub-item (4711 / 11 depeneding on your settings) confirming MAT123_A with the remaining 50.

Not sure if S4H-aATP (advanced ATP) meanwhile offers a similar capability.
