CIF User Exit for PPM (Fixed and Variable Duration)

Dear Experts,

Good day!

We have a requirement to overwrite the fixed and variable duration that we are getting from SAP ECC via CIF. Currently, we are not using any CIF exits in our design and IM creation is as per standard. The idea is there would be some PPMs that are required to source the fixed and variable duration from APO directly. We will create custom tables which will store the data. Other PPM master data will still be coming from SAP ECC.

Can you please let me know if there is an exit that we can use in order to achieve the requirement? Also, since our process is to CIF PPDS PPM and then manually create SNP PPM, will the exit accommodate both SNP and PPDS? What are the important tables that we need to check and what are the other consideration that we may need to take into account? We are using APO version 5.1 as of the moment.

Hello,

To modify the activity duration during the CIF you can use an enhancement CIFPPM01    Core Interface for APO: Enhancements for PPM Model FM EXIT_SAPLPGS1_001

modify out_cif_reqcapx

dur1 .... variable activity duration

dur2 .... fixed activity duration
